There’s a feature to “add a non-steam game to your library ” if you do that, you might be able to use Steam Workshop with your Starbound. Even if you don’t want to actually play as one of the mod races, adding them adds more variety to the universe, and it’s fun coming across their villages. Orcana, Avali, are all easy choicesjust browse around. You might be able to use Steam Workshop mods even without owning the game on Steam. Oil is a vital resource in the vast world of Starbound, one essential for upgrading and maintaining your survival lifestyle. Ive also hear the Orcana mod is good, and I personally prefer its artstyle, since it seems closer to the vanilla stuff and doesnt clash with it as a result. The Draconis don’t have cities, but they have like three or four different structures that can generate. Avali is probably the most popular one of all time, and is generally considered pretty good. Unfortunately, they never have any loot though the chests are always just empty. There’s one race I like called the Sarasinor (spider-people) who have cities that generate. I’m sure you’ve heard of the Elithian Alliance modpack that one has four fully-fleshed-out races with cities and whatnot.
